Third Eye- computer and summer camp
The Third Eye Youth program is so-called because it encourages youngsters
to look beyond current fads and fashions and think with their "third
eye", i.e. use their minds to work hard, develop skills, appreciate the
legacy of past generations, and engage in productive activities. On a
practical level, Third Eye is designed to boost their academic and computer
skills, and broaden their cultural horizons.
The project consists of building
computing and academic skills and the annual summer youth camp. Funding is
provided by in kind donations by private individuals, businesses, and a grant
by Flagler County. Facilities and
sponsorship are provided by the African American Cultural Society of Palm
Coast, Florida, which works in partnership with other well known organization,
such as the Boys and Girls Club of America. Open to all youth of Flagler County.
