How
this site came to be!
It was a sunny Monday morning as I drove
towards Deltona, Florida, the home of Bob Sayre to meet with Cliff
Jones and renew old friendships. As we approach the turn of the
century, and our unknown futures, the thought occurred to me that we
could establish a website that would host all the memorabilia and
history of our place in society.

Technology
has advanced from the Speed Graphic, ink and paper to the
computerized digital camera and the Internet. Using these advances I
thought we could document our contribution and times, to be accessed
by the world via the Internet. I fear that we may not all be in a
position to attend a future Class reunion. The old sense of
community, the virtues of civility, have been frayed and broken in
today's noisier, more cynical, less stable, throwaway society.
Before too much time passes, someone's got to tell it, the way it
was. This site is not a history but a sketch, a doodling that
attempts to show part of what those times were like.
So I went up and shot the breeze with Bob and Cliff. We went to
lunch and decided that something, however small, could be done to
document those times. I took along my trust Sony Mavica digital
camera and shot the pictures you see on this page.
